Henry Brown Back For Round Two

On May 14, Henry Brown underwent a successful open heart surgery.

In the forty-eight hours leading up to the surgery, Henry witnessed to many and shared his gratitude for the life God has given him.

“How could an orphaned kid from Pine Ridge like me travel all over the country and have friends all over the map? God deserves all the glory for everything in my life.”

He also encouraged those close to him who are stuck in addiction and depression to turn to Jesus.

Eagles’ Wings founder and friend to Henry, Joe Park, was able to be there with Henry during the week of the surgery. Joe was also able to reconnect with friends from Pine Ridge who had also come to spend time and encourage Henry during his recovery. One student even sat next to Henry’s hospital bed and recited memorized Bible verses to him.

After waking up, Henry told Joe that he was ready for round two and shared his dreams for the kids of Pine Ridge.

Henry recovered ahead of schedule and as close ones stopped by to love on him, Joe saw Henry witness to them about the love of Jesus.

After returning to Pine Ridge on the second day of release from the hospital, Henry was back at it again, feeding kids at Living Home Academy. Old habits die hard!

If that wasn’t enough, a week later, Henry shared that that he was seeing a growing openness to know the Lord from those who had visited him.

Henry is indeed ready for round two. Since May, Henry has been supporting young adults in taking them to marriage counseling, attending church, and reading the word. Praise the Lord!

Please continue to pray for those who experienced Henry’s faith in the face of fear - that they may receive the Lord through Henry’s witness.
