About Us

The Problem:

The youth population of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation are some of the most at-risk in the entire country. This has attracted many aid and relief organizations, but despite being one of the most outreached areas in the world, youth outcomes have remained largely unchanged in 30+ years.

One of the most successful models on the Rez today are locally-led youth ministry organizations. Most of these ministries have been serving the Lakota youth for 20+ years, but they are becoming increasingly strained to do more ministry with less resources and support. Even worse, they are often forced to compete and with significantly less efficient outside organizations that lack the local context.

The broader community beyond Pine Ridge provides access to financial resources and skill networks that can help these ministries drive life-changing outcomes for the Lakota youth. Our model is to connect the broader community to local ministry leadership through our Ministry Partnership Program (MPP): Through our MPP, we provide:

  • Increased funding access

  • Access to a virtual network of supporters

  • Skilled virtual and in-person volunteers

  • Funding for supplemental ministry activities (e.g., leadership conferences, retreats)

We are proud to partner with local organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to the Lakota population and place an emphasis on meeting the full needs of the Lakota youth: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Our Model:

Our Core Values:

Locally-led.

Long-lasting change in Pine Ridge will only come with passionate locals leading the way.

Partnership-oriented.

This is not just our mission - there are many we will need to partner with along the way. We are committed to a spirit of partnership to all of our current and future partners.

Gospel-centered.

All of our programs and activities are motivated by and platforms for the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.
