First Pine Ridge Group Attends Warrior Leadership Summit

On July 1, Eagles’ Wings partnered with Pastor Bill to send the first group from Pine Ridge to WLS 2024 (Warrior Leadership summit). Over the course of 5 days, hundreds of Native young people connected, fellowshipped, worshipped, prayed, and experienced joy and hope together.

Centered on Biblical discipleship, speakers preached on the theme of courage. They heard how courage comes from Jesus’ unconditional and unshakeable love that redeems our biggest failures, worst fears, and deepest pain into a new identity and purpose.

Out of this conference, one leader from Pine Ridge who Henry has mentored decided to get baptized!

She shared that she has known Jesus for a while, and now she felt ready to get baptized. She was ready to “no longer fall for the devil’s schemes” and she also felt more convicted to “help like Henry [Brown] is doing kids group - by helping kids become the next counselors”. She also expressed interest in staying in touch with pastors she met at the conference and continuing to read the Bible.

Please continue to hold this dear sister in your prayers as she lives courageously through trial and realities back home. Pray that she can continue building the relationships she made at the conference, receiving spiritual discipleship, and trusting in the Lord.
