Ministries We Support
This year, we are primarily supporting three ministries on the Reservation. We are so thankful to these ministries for allowing us to come alongside them and support. You can read about each ministry below, as well as find direct links to their website and donation page. All supported ministries are 501(c)3 non-profits with all donations being tax-deductible.
Kid’s Time
Kid’s Time is a Christian after-school children’s program that provides a safe space for children to grow in community with one another and experience the love of Christ. They provide warm meals, purposeful activities, and a sense of belonging for over 60+ children five times a week. The current Director of the Kid’s Time program is Henry Brown, a Lakota Christian man who has been serving the youth of Pine Ridge for over 30+ years. The ministry falls under the Lutheran-backed Pine Ridge Reconciliation Center.
Current prayer topics:
Return to health for Director, Henry Brown
Teen Time beginning on Saturdays, a time for specifically older students

ORWC
Oglala Re*Creation & Worship Center (ORWC) is a small mission church with the Assemblies of God Home Missions in Oglala on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota. Located just north on HWY 18 and clearly visible from anywhere around, the "Rec" (as it is mostly called) is within walking distance of the two major housing complexes in Oglala, the Housing and Trailer Court. We are a multi-purpose facility, open most days of the week, for after-school kids' programs, youth night, Bible studies, worship services, community events, etc. It is our goal not only for our ministry but for our daily life to bring the Love of Jesus Christ and the Good News of His Salvation to the community around us. We believe that God has called us among the Lakota people to be "A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS."
Current prayer topics:
Pastor Leon and his wife Mary’s trip to Florida, where they will be taking two Lakota boys they have been discipling for a graduation trip
For a church to be built not only of Lakota Christians, but of Lakota Evangelists

Iglutheca
Iglutheca’s mission is to provide a pathway for homeless Lakota out of addiction and poverty. Homelessness is a rampant issue on the reservation, affecting the youth directly as well as indirectly through displacement of parents, caregivers, and relatives. Iglutheca operates day and overnight shelters for the Pine Ridge homeless population, as well as basic services such as feeding and access to laundry and showers. Most importantly, Iglutheca offers recovery programs (faith-based and non-faith-based), as well as bible studies and discipleship for interested adults.
Current prayer topics:
That God would provide sustainable ways to pay wages for shelter staff
Provision for emergency materials like clothing, medication, food, and toiletries
For long-term volunteers that can help with Recovery meetings, bible studies, mental health groups, cooking meals, driving shelter guests to appointments, covering shelter shifts
For guests to form a solid supportive community for each other
For staff to not get burned out and are able to show love and compassion to guests
That the Lord would move during bible studies
For Abram to be able to balance many incoming needs and focus on what’s important
